Building Successful Partnerships

We work to build and strengthen multi-stakeholder collaborative initiatives throughout the Chesapeake Bay watershed.  These collaborative initiatives offer powerful opportunities to identify and implement practical solutions that support both farmers and water quality. Below are some of the collaboratives we are supporting:

Delmarva Land and Litter Collaborative [click to learn more] | A forum for diverse partners to identify solutions that support both healthy and productive ecosystems and farming and poultry on Delmarva. [Fact Sheet]

Lancaster Clean Water Partners [click to learn more]| We are working to bring funding resources to this important regional effort to achieve clean and clear water in Lancaster County, PA.

Regional Soil Health Initiatives [click to learn more] | Collaborative efforts across the watershed to regenerative farming practices that improve farm resiliency, profit and water quality.

NFWF Field Liaisons [click to learn more] | An opportunity to help build the capacity of organizations working to implement water quality improvements.

Virginia Nutrient Management Leadership Team [Fact Sheet | Report] | A collaborative effort comprised of agricultural and conservation organizations and state and federal agencies, with the  purpose of strengthening voluntary nutrient management planning efforts on farms throughout Virginia.

Farm Manure-to-Energy Initiative [click to learn more] | A regional, multi-stakeholder-led collaborative convened by Chesapeake Bay funders to explore opportunities to generate energy from manure and facilitate transport of excess manure nutrients out of high-density animal production areas in the watershed. 

Building Farm Resiliency in At-Risk Coastal Areas [Report] A multi-stakeholder effort to explore and refine questions critical for advising and guiding landowners who farm within coastal areas of the Chesapeake Bay that are vulnerable to sea level rise and saltwater intrusion.
