The goal of this project is to increase Natural Resource Conservation Service (NRCS) technical and financial resources for urban farmers in the Baltimore, Washington D.C. corridor. With these resources, urban farmers will be able to increase farm resilience and profit, while also addressing water quality concerns. In addition, Historically Underserved farmers are eligible for reimbursement of up to 100% of the cost of conservation practice installation.

The project focus area includes: Washington, D.C., Baltimore City, Baltimore County, Anne Arundel County, Howard County, Montgomery County, and Prince George’s County.

We are grateful for all of our partners on this project, including the Maryland Urban Ag Collaborative Workgroup, Maryland Department of Agriculture, Maryland Cooperative Extension, Prince George's Soil Conservation District, Washington, D.C. Department of Energy and Environment, the Chesapeake Bay Foundation, and USDA's Natural Resource Conservation Service.
